BACK SPLASHES

What is a standard backsplash? A backsplash that is 3 ½” to 4” high and is butt seamed against the counter top. The seam between the counter top and splash is sealed with silicone sealant.

What is a full backsplash? The backsplash covers the wall from the counter top to the bottom of the cabinets. The distance from the counter top to the bottom of upper cabinets is usually 18”.

What is a coved or seamless backsplash? This is a process where the deck surface and the backsplash are hard seamed together forming a seamless transition. Since there is no seam in which bacteria, mildew, and food particles can hide, cleaning up is a breeze. The end result is a beautiful, smooth integrated design.
